Brockton Neighborhood Health Center

Sue Joss has been the CEO of Brockton Neighborhood Health Center since its inception in 1994. Sue has led BNHC toward innovations in the healthcare field including healthcare reform, implementing electronic medical records, and BNHC being selected as a pilot for the state’s Patient Centered Medical Home Initiative, as well as other innovations.  She has also brought in much needed services such as behavioral health and a full-service eye clinic.  BNHC is now a model for other health centers and has contributed to the economic growth in Brockton as one of the largest employers in the city. Sue is active in many community and professional organizations including the MetroSouth Chamber of Commerce, the Massachusetts League of Community Health Centers, Brockton 21st Century Corporation, Brockton’s Econ. Dev. Agency, Mutual Bank and, Neighborhood Health Plan.

Before her tenure at BNHC, Sue served as the Vice President of Human Resources, Ancillary and Support Services for eight years at the Community Hospital of RI in Cranston.  Sue holds a Master’s Degree in Labor and Industrial Relations and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism, both from Michigan State University.
