Vincenzo Scibelli has been employed at NEW Health since 1992 when he first worked as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the Behavioral Health Department. Over the years, he has been promoted into various positions such as, Director of Behavioral Health, Patient Privacy and Security Officer, Chief Compliance Officer, and his most recent position as the Chief Compliance and Operations Officer. Vin received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Boston University (BU) in 1989 with the honors of magna cum laude and went on to graduate school at BU to receive a dual Masters’ Degree in Clinical Social Work and Public Health with a concentration in Healthcare Administration. In 2009, he graduated the UCLA/Johnson and Johnson Health Care Executive Program where he engaged in intensive executive leadership training with other health center leaders throughout the country. Vin also holds a Clinical Associate position with Simmons College of Social Work and has served on many senior leadership and strategic planning groups at Massachusetts General Hospital. He was instrumental in implementing many clinical programs at the health center including a Community Outreach and Health Education Program, a comprehensive Outpatient Opioid Dependency Program and 340B in-house pharmacy.

As COO, he oversaw daily operations and compliance matters in all departments, including a staff of over 160, while maintaining a clinical caseload of behavioral health patients. In addition, he serves on the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC) Clinical Practice Committee. Through his time at NEW Health, he has received many awards for leadership roles with Joint Commission and NCQA. Over the past 8 years, Vin has taught the Community Health Center Compliance and Grant Writing Course for the Suffolk University Health Care Management Program with the Mass League of Community Health Centers.
