Anne Murray-Chiriboga, MD
Medical Director, North End Waterfront Health
Anne is an Internist and Pediatrician dedicated to serving vulnerable populations. She obtained her Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts at Cornell University, in Ithaca, New York, and her doctorate degree at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, where she completed her specialty trainings and is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics.
She worked as a physician for several years in Zumbahua, Ecuador, at a rural community hospital and associated satellite health centers, serving a poor, indigenous community in the highlands of the Andes.
Back in Massachusetts, she worked for over a decade at Lawrence General Hospital, in Lawrence, MA, the poorest city in the state, serving a largely disenfranchised Latino population.
Currently, she is Medical Director of a primary care clinic located within a large subsidized-housing project in Charlestown, the oldest neighborhood in the city of Boston, which is home to a mostly lower-income Latin American and Haitian population facing significant health and socioeconomic inequities.
Her interests include: collaborative, team-based healthcare, integration of primary and behavioral health, disease prevention, stress reduction, innovative community health interventions, and patient advocacy. She is committed to improving quality of people’s lives and to putting the care back into healthcare.
